We’re starting things off today with a special guest here in the WOLF-TV studio — who’s got an important announcement for anyone who’s ever dreamed of being a STAR!

MACONAUGHEY: Hello, Wolves!! It’s me, Ms. Maconaughey, and I’ve got some EXCITING news about the theater program. This year, we will be putting on a pair of shows — a Fall Play and a Spring Musical. And even though we’re only a few weeks into the new year, it’s time to get started!

We need performers AND stage crew, on-stage AND backstage — actors, actresses, lighting and sound techs, costume, makeup, prop designers, and MORE! If you’d like to be a part of it, please sign-up for ACT II Theater — an after school program for students in all grade levels.

For more information, come see me at the Activities Fair next week. Theater is a lot of fun! And at the end, we will have an amazing play to show your friends and family. So again, sign up for ACT II Theater, and thanks for being a part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!

That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

All students in all grades must bring their iPads to PE this week for fitness room training and physical fitness testing. Once again, please be sure to bring your iPad to PE.

What are YOU doing after school this year? The WMS Activities Fair is scheduled for next week — Tuesday the 26th for 6th graders, and Thursday the 28th for 7th and 8th graders — both starting at 3pm in the cafeteria. Meet with coaches, club sponsors, teachers, and participating students — and find the best activity for you! Late buses will be provided for students with a valid pass. See you at the Activities Fair!!

Calling all athletes!! If you want to participate in Boys Ultimate, Boys Basketball, or Girls Soccer this year, you MUST have a physical on file! Physicals for Boys Ultimate are due on Friday, September 29th; while physicals for Boys Basketball and Girls Soccer are due on Friday, October 12th. You ONLY need to submit ONE physical for the entire year — so if you’ve already submitted one, you’re good! And don’t forget to scan the QR code outside of Ms. Hogwood’s office to register!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The girls Ultimate team played TWO incredible games on Wednesday against Dorothy Hamm.

The 7th and 8th graders won their game 9 to 4. Big props to 7th grader Asia — who was open wherever she went on the field; and 8th grader Sophia — who was throwing with near perfect accuracy.
.
And the 6th graders came THIS CLOSE to winning their game, too — but their last score got called back on a penalty. So they settled for a hard-fought tie: 6 to 6. Props to 6th graders Tula and Ixie for their stellar defense.
