  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • All students in all grades must bring their iPads to PE this week for fitness room training and physical fitness testing.  Once again, please be sure to bring your iPad to PE.
    .
  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I am hopeful because…” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts.  The deadline to submit is Tuesday, November 21st. Go to wmspta.org for more information.  Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!

  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch.  Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus!  See Ms. Lavin in the office with any questions.

  • Calling all students and staff!  The WMS Yearbook is on-sale NOW!  It’s just 45-dollars — and the memories will last a lifetime!  To order, please go to the WMS website and click on the Yearbook link.  Contact Ms. Briones with any questions. Don’t miss out on the memories!

  • It’s the penultimate day of Suicide Prevention Week, and we’ve got some words of wisdom for you.
    .
It’s okay to ask for help. Everyone faces challenges in life — but you don’t have to do it alone!  Seeking and accepting help from others is actually a sign of STRENGTH!
    .
When you feel yourself struggling, reach out to a friend, a teacher, your school counselor, or a family member. Just ask for help, and we promise that you’ll get it.
    .
There are also many opportunities right here at Williamsburg to expand your support system.  Consider joining a club, an after school sport, or activity. Finding new friends and interests will fortify you against the challenges ahead.
    .
Thanks for your help, Wolf Pack, and for supporting Suicide Prevention Week!
