It’s SOL make-up day for our 8th graders! All the technical issues have been fixed, so starting at 8am this morning, test-takers should report to their test-taking locations. You may only bring your iPad, a book, and a bottle of water — no other materials nor electronic devices.

And for those 8th graders who DID manage to complete their SOL on Thursday, please go to the Main Gym. You’ll be hanging with Ms. Szwed until the end of the testing window at 9:36.

And for everyone else, today we will be following the REGULAR “A”-Day schedule — we are NOT flipped. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

And now for an update on the March Madness Tournament of Books — Graphic Novel Edition! Voting is now underway for the Elite-8. To participate, just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote for your favorite entries. The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!

And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! With the SOLs now underway — and with more coming in the near future — your iPad NEEDS to be working. If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, battery life, or ANYTHING else — please submit the online “Student Tech. Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Solomon’s got the solution! So submit today — and get yourself back online.

Did you participate in an after school club this year? Then this next announcement is for you! The WMS Yearbook is taking club pictures this week and next. Here’s the schedule so far: the Theater Production picture will be TODAY in the Auditorium at 2:35. Best Buddies will have their picture TOMORROW in the cafeteria at 8am. Then next Monday, it’s Model UN and Inked. And on Tuesday, it’s WolfBots, TSA, and Talking Sports — all during TA in the Main Lobby. We’ll update you on the remaining clubs as soon as they’re scheduled. See your club sponsor with any questions — and say CHEESE!!
