Calling all students and staff! Voting is now OPEN for the Yearbook’s 2022 SUPERLATIVES spread!! Who’s got the best smile, the best hair, who’s most likely to be President, and who’s got the best sense of humor?

To cast your vote, just go to the WMS website, look under “Quick Links” and click on the Morning Announcements Blog, then select your grade-level superlatives quiz. Voting ends next WEDNESDAY, March 2nd — and the results will be published in the 2022 Yearbook. So log on NOW — and vote for your class superlatives TODAY!!

And now for an important announcement from the P.E. Department — all students who have Young, Szwed, Keimig, or Witte for PE are reminded to bring ear buds and your iPad to class. Once again: students who have Young, Szwed, Keimig, or Witte need ear buds and your iPad for class.

The 6th annual WMS March Madness Tournament of Books is about to begin!! TA teachers will be sharing the 2022 Graphic Novel Sweet-16 with you this week — and then all TAs are encouraged to complete their own class “bracket.” Voting will start next week on March 7th — and will continue each week until we have our winner. To see the detailed bracket for yourselves, go to the WMS Library Canvas course. May the best book win!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The Northern Virginia MathCounts competition took place last week — and our very own 6th grader Michael K. came in SECOND PLACE among 138 competitors. He will now advance to the State-wide competition next in March. Way to go, Michael!! [clap]

Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Wrestling Team — who beat Gunston in a close one last Thursday at home — 45 to 42. Big props to Bobby S. and Owen J. for a great matches, and to the whole team for well-earned victory. Way to go, wrestling wolves!! [clap]

It’s nearly time for Parent-Teacher Conferences!! This THURSDAY from 4:30 to 7:30pm, and FRIDAY from 8 to 11:30am, parents and guardians are invited to meet VIRTUALLY with all of your teachers on MS Teams.

Just tell your folks to register for a slot using “Sign-Up Genius” through the WMS website, or ask your TA teacher for more information. Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!
