  • Tonight is the night!! The first ever WMS Homecoming Dance — Winter Yeti-Land — is TONIGHT from 6 to 8pm in the Main Gym.  There will be music, dancing, pictures, prizes, and lots of tasty snacks. But party-goers are reminded to please act RESPONSIBLY.  School rules are still in effect, so let’s remember to respect yourself, respect others, and respect our shared environment. Have a great time at the Homecoming Dance, wolf pack!! It’s a Winter Yeti-land!!!
    .
  • Attention all PE students!  If you have have PE today, please meet in the AUDITORIUM for class. The gym is CLOSED in preparation for tonight’s Homecoming Dance.  Once again, PE students should meet in the auditorium.

  • Show someone you care this Valentine’s Day with a card and a Candy Gram!  Today is your LAST CHANCE to place an order in TA.  A Valentine’s card is just a dollar, or a Candy Gram is just 2-dollars. They’ll be delivered to your special someone next week — and all money raised will support the Best Buddies Club.  Happy Valentine’s Day!
    .
  • The Gender Sexuality Alliance — aka the GSA — will be holding its next meeting on MONDAY during ASP 1 in room 106. All are welcome — members, friends, and allies!  See Ms. Wielechowski for more information.
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch.  Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus!  See Ms. Walten in the office with any questions.
    .
  • It’s SPIRIT WEEK here at WMS!  Thanks to everyone who showed their school spirit and wore your class colors today — 6th grade blue, 7th grade white, and 8th grade black.
    .
And thanks to EVERYONE who participated all week long.  You’ve got spirit, yes you do!!! [clap]
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Yesterday’s Homecoming Game was one for the ages — as our boys basketball team beat Thomas Jefferson in a nail-biter —  41 to 39.  Matt L, James D, Sam R, and Danny S dominated on the court.  And in the 4th quarter, Nate R hit clutch 3-pointer to secure the lead.  Great Team Effort! Way to go, baller wolves!!
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the Homecoming PRE-SHOW — 8th graders versus staff.  It was a TREMENDOUS game, and our students gave those “old-timers” all they could handle.  Way to go, old and young wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • And another big shout out to our WMS Cheerleaders, the WMS Band, and all of YOU — our Williamsburg faithful — who packed the stands and made this event one to remember. Way to go, wolf pack!! [clap]
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride wraps up with the WMS wrestling team, who won their match on the road against TJ yesterday — 48 to 42. 8th graders Sergio N, Owen  H and Peter M all had first period pins. And big props to 7th grader Tyson C for earning his first PIN and WIN of the season. Way to go, wrestling wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • And finally — as we continue our celebration of Black History Month, today we’re celebrating one of Arlington’s very own — a local chef who’s making headlines for being one of the very best at what he does.
    .
Meet Chef Rock Harper — owner of Queen Mother’s restaurant — who’s award-nominated food is guaranteed to “rock” your tastebuds.
