Get a HOT CHOCOLATE on a cold winter day! The annual Best Buddies Hot Chocolate Fundraiser is happening NOW outside of the cafeteria. This week’s TAs are Luengo, Murphy, Klink, and Warden. Hot Chocolate is just 1-dollar per cup — and all of the money goes to support our fantastic Best Buddies program. Be sure to check with your TA teacher to find out when it’s YOUR turn for hot chocolate. Thanks, buddy!

Today is your LAST CHANCE to order a “Candy Cane Candy Gram” — benefiting the WMS Best Buddies Club. Candy Grams are just 1-dollar — and you can get the order form from your TA teacher. Candy Grams will be delivered to the person-of-your-choice next Wednesday, December 15th. See Ms. Nance with any questions. Happy Holidays!!

Calling all athletes! Anyone interested in trying out for the upcoming Wresting or Girls Basketball seasons MUST turn-in your “sports physical” by next FRIDAY, December 17th. The new seasons begin right after Winter Break — so don’t miss out! See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

It’s better to GIVE than to RECEIVE! The WMS Orchestra is partnering with Toys for Tots for a Holiday Toy Drive! NEW or GENTLY USED gifts may be dropped-off in the donation bins located outside of the Library and Auditorium from now through December 16th. So show your WOLF PACK PRIDE and donate to the Toy Drive TODAY!!

But wait — there’s MORE! The WMS Helping Hands Club is also holding a “gift” drive in support of the Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics Unit. Plus, there’s a “gift card” drive for Arlington families in need. Helping Hands will be collecting donations until next Wednesday, December 15th. The bin for gift cards is located in the front office. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

We’ve reached the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND of the WMS Library’s SUPERHERO COUNTDOWN!! And the finalists are: “AVENGERS: Endgame” versus “THOR: Ragnarok!” Which super-powered blockbuster will reign supreme?

To cast your vote, just go to the WMS Library Canvas course and pick your favorite comic book crusader! Just 1-vote per person. And we’ll announce the WINNER next week. May the best superhero win!!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to Ms. McTavish and the WMS Choir who performed their Winter Concert last night before a packed house. It was another beautiful example of the amazingly talented students here at Williamsburg. Way to go, singing wolves!! [clap]

Wolf Pack Pride wraps-up with the boys Basketball team. They took a tough loss on the road against Gunston last Tuesday — 58 to 31. But yesterday, they came out firing on all cylinders at home again TJ — and notched a HUGE win, 42 to 33. Great defense by Sammy K, Lukas B. and Jack I. And Peter led all scorers with 11 points. Awesome all-around game! Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]

And finally — Winter Break is just around the corner! So let’s celebrate with a Pre-Winter Break Spirit Week!!

That’s right! All next week, students and staff are invited to dress up according to the daily theme. Here’s the rundown: Monday is a Winter Wonderland Day — please wear BLUE and WHITE to raise awareness about drunk and drugged driving.

Tuesday is Jingle All the Way Day— so put on your favorite Holiday gear.

Wednesday is Candy Cane Day — so get decked-out in red and white.

Thursday is Baby It’s Cold Outside Day — so wear your coziest hat, scarf or PJs.

And finally, Friday is Ugly Sweater Day — the tackier the better. Spirit Week at WMS — Be a Part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!
