Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

A quick “Transportation Tip” about riding the Late Bus — If you’re ever planning to take the LATE BUS after school — you MUST have a signed bus pass for both ASP1 and 2. If you do not have a pass — you will NOT be allowed to ride the late bus. Again — the pass must be SIGNED for both ASP1 and 2 in order to ride the Late Bus. See your grade-level administrator with any questions.

Calling all math lovers! Math Counts will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 216. All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to do math problems, play math games, and hone your problem solving skills. And this year, Math Counts is partnering with AMC-8! It’s all math, all the time at Math Counts! See Ms. Janney or Mr. Mencarini for more information.

And now for an EXCITING announcement from the PE department: The PE Fall Gear Sale is now OPEN!! WMS Hoodies and Long Sleeve T-shirts are available for purchase. To order, just follow the link on the WMS homepage, your student Canvas course, the PTA newsletter, or the Morning Announcements Blog. But don’t miss out! The online store closes on November 28th. And now for SPORTS!! The Boys Basketball team will be playing its home-opener this TUESDAY against Swanson. Students and staff are invited to sit in the stands and root them on to victory! However, due to safety guidelines space is LIMITED. To reserve your seat, please register using the WMS website TODAY from 8am until noon. It’s first come, first served — so don’t wait! See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

And now for a special announcement from Mr. Smolinski’s WOLF TIME class! Students are invited to participate in the “Turn Trash Into Treasure Art Competition!” The goal is to raise awareness about reducing plastic waste.

To enter, just use any recyclable material to make an original artistic masterpiece! Then submit a picture or video of your creation by scanning the QR code on the posters located by the main entrance and the cafeteria. The deadline to enter is TOMORROW — and be sure to include your full name, grade, and TA. Now get out there and turn your trash into treasure, Williamsburg!!

And finally — it’s time to make your voices heard! Today, the WMS Library is kicking-off the Superhero Sweet-16! To participate, just go to the WMS Library Canvas course and cast your vote for your favorite comic book crusader! Votes for the first round must be received by this THURSDAY — and it’s limited to 1-vote per person.
