Red Ribbon Week starts October 23, 2023

Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s largest and longest running drug-use prevention campaign according to the organization’s “about us” page.

Created in response to the murder of DEA agent Kiki Camarena by drug traffickers, this is a week to learn more about the destructive effects of drugs, including prescription drug misuse, to individuals and communities.

WMS has planned a week of events to heighten awareness along the theme of Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free. The Red Ribbon Week flyer contains information about our daily themes/spirit days as we focus on healthy habits and choices and pledging to be drug free.
