- Back to School Night was a SUPREME SUCCESS yesterday. More than a THOUSAND parents came to WMS, all of whom were treated to incredible presentations by your classroom teachers. Special thanks goes out to all of those teachers who worked so hard on making your parents feel welcome; to our students volunteers — the tour guides, Yearbook staff, and WOLF-TV reporters — for their important contributions; to our admin, counselors, office staff, and librarians for their support; and of course, to our custodial staff for making our school shine. Great job, everyone, and GO WOLVES!!
. - And now for some WOLF PACK PRIDE! The WMS Girls soccer team extended their winning streak to 3-in-a-row yesterday, with a hard-fought victory over Swanson Middle School on the road, by a score of 4 to 2. Believe it or not, but those were the FIRST GOALS scored against our Wolves in over an entire season! It’s an accomplishment that will probably go down in WMS history! Now, let’s go start another one. Way to go, soccer wolves!
. - The WMS Model UN team will be holding its long-awaited first meeting of the year on TUESDAY during ASP 1 in room 202. All MUNners are welcome — new and old. Stop by Ms. Carlson’s today to receive a packet of information, or with any questions.
. - The Kindness just keeps on coming! The OFFICIAL kick-off for the Kindness Club is scheduled for next TUESDAY during ASP 1 in room 134. All are welcome to come and help spread kindness throughout the community. See Ms. Schaefer, Ms. Zeller or Mr. Johnson with any questions.
. - The WMS Check-in Program will be hosting a bake sale TODAY after school — in support of the many victims of hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. Sweet treats will be available in the front lobby and by the cafeteria, and cost just 1 to 2-dollars each. So come on out, show your support for those in need, and get a “baked good” for a “good cause!”
