- We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE! The WMS boys Ultimate team played a series of hard-fought matches against HB yesterday. The 8th graders battled back-and-forth all afternoon, earning a 9 to 9 tie. The 7th graders pulled out a 7 to 5 WIN! While the 6th graders fell just short, but still played great against older competition. Way to go, frisbee wolves!! [clap]

- Wolf Pack Pride continues with a pair of upcoming games. The girls soccer team takes on Kenmore Middle School at home today, starting at 3:15 on the back fields. Come on out and root them on to victory!
.
- Meanwhile, the WMS Tennis Team “swings” into action this afternoon, also playing Kenmore in its first match of the year. The games will be played at the Yorktown tennis courts starting at 3:15. Go for the winner, wolves!

- Mr. “Dude” will be holding tryouts for the 6th grade Robotics team TODAY after school in room 129. But you MUST have signed up during last week’s Activities Fair to be eligible. Good luck, technology wolves!!

- The WMS Model UN Club has a pair of meetings this week: first up, TODAY during ASP 1 for experienced or returning members ONLY; then on THURSDAY for ALL members — new and old — right after school. Both meetings will be held in room 202. See Ms. Carlson with any questions.

- Calling all writers! Inked — the Williamsburg Writing and Poetry Club — will hold its first meeting TODAY after school in room C101. Interested? Just drop by and learn all about it, or see Ms. Martin with any questions.

- The Random Acts of Kindness Club — RAK — will be hosting its first meeting TODAY during ASP1 in room 134. Participants will help spread “kindness” throughout our shared community. See Ms. Schaefer, Ms. Zeller or Mr. Johnson with any questions.

- Read any good books lately? TAB — the WMS “Talk About Books” Club — will be meeting TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. So grab your grub, meet some fellow book-lovers, and come check-out these Totally Awesome Books!!

- Attention all students! Here’s an important technology tip from Ms. Solomon: Do NOT upgrade your iPads at home to iOS 11. If you do, your tablet will NOT WORK — and will need to be repaired. Again DON’T UPGRADE your operating system… OR ESLE!!!! Also, the Google Classroom app has been REMOVED from all iPads by APS. So during WOLF TIME this morning, everyone must create a new shortcut to Google Classroom. Teachers, please go to iPad tutorials on the WMS website for specific instructions. Again, EVERYONE needs to create a new shortcut to Google Classroom on their iPads.

- Could your parents survive a day in Middle School? We’ll soon find out! This THURSDAY is BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT at WMS, from 7 to 9pm. Parents will be virtually “walking in your shoes” — as they follow your daily schedule, meet your teachers, and tour the school. So go home and tell your folks — come to Back to School Night on Thursday — and be a Part of the Pride!
