- We’re three weeks into the new school year — and at long last, our After School Programs are now up and running! Students are encouraged to take advantage of the many sports, clubs, and academic classes available at WMS. ASP 1 is from 2:30 to 3:30, and ASP 2 is from 3:30 to 4:15. Late buses are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. But remember: whatever you choose to do after school, you WILL need an “after school pass” to be in the building after 2:35 this year, as well as to use the bus.

- And now that the late buses are “rolling” — so are the WMS Intramurals! The Intramural Program is open to all students — Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during ASP 2 in the gym. So come out and play! Just remember that you must have a pass signed from your ASP1 sponsor or teacher to attend Intramurals. - And now a few reminders from Mr. Dudek: The Technology Student Association — a.k.a TSA — will be hosting its first meeting TODAY after school in room 129. The TSA is full of STEM related activities, and is open to students from all grades.

- Next up, Mr. “Dude” will be holding tryouts for the 6th grade Robotics team TOMORROW after school in room 129. But you MUST have signed up during last week’s Activities Fair to be eligible. Good luck, technology wolves!!

- The WMS Model UN Club has a pair of meetings this week: first up, on TUESDAY during ASP 1 for experienced or returning members ONLY; then on THURSDAY for ALL members — new and old — right after school. Both meetings will be held in room 202. See Ms. Carlson with any questions.

- The combined Yorktown -Williamsburg Speech and Debate Team is now recruiting students from all grade levels. Participants will debate in a range of competitive formats — including Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum, student Congress, and more! Practices will be held on MONDAYS after school. - Could your parents survive a day in Middle School? We’ll soon find out! This THURSDAY is BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT at WMS, from 7 to 9pm. Parents will be virtually “walking in your shoes” — as they follow your daily schedule, meet your teachers, and tour the school. So go home and tell your folks — come to Back to School Night on Thursday — and be a Part of the Pride!

- Finally today in Wolf Pack News — the WMS Boys Ultimate team gets its season started today with a 3:30 away game at HB. So let’s show our Wolf Pack Pride and root them on to victory! Go get ’em, frisbee wolves!!
