- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - What are YOU doing after school this year? The WMS Activities Fair is THIS WEEK — TODAY for 6th graders, and WEDNESDAY for 7th and 8th graders — both starting at 3pm in the cafeteria. Meet with coaches, club sponsors, teachers, and participating students — and find the best activity for you! Late buses will be provided for all students who attend. But please leave all of your belongings in your LOCKER before coming to the event. See you at the Activities Fair!!
. - Calling all returning Anime Club members!! If you would like to help out at the Activities Fair, please join Ms. Armistead in the cafeteria today and/ or Wednesday from 2:50 to 4pm. It will be Anime-zing!! Thanks for your help, Anime-niacs!!
. - Every Wolf Pack needs a LEADER — and that leader could be YOU! Williamsburg is looking for motivated 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to join the WMS Student Council Association. You can make a real difference — and have fun, too! The QR Code to sign up is posted outside of the Activities Office. See Ms. Hogwood for more information about the SCA.
. - Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I Belong!” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. The deadline to submit is Friday, November 21st. For more information, go to the Williamsburg website or email [email protected]. Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!
. - Calling all TAs!! Don’t forget to keep working on your class MURAL project, which represents the values we hold dear at WMS. The themes are: 6th grade – KINDNESS; 7th grade – SPEAK UP; and 8th grade – REACH OUT. Murals are DUE on October 3rd. See Ms. Battle with any questions.
. - And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — BOTH STUDENTS must bring a note from home to the main office. You will receive a one time “bus buddy pass” to give your bus driver. But make sure to get your pass BEFORE your grade-level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a buddy pass — because there won’t be time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Shorter in the office with any questions.
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to the WMS Tennis Team — who defeated Gunston Middle School in their season-opening match last Thursday: 5 to 0.
.
It was a great start to the season, as they dominated in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. Way to go, tennis wolves!! [clap]
