- Today we will be following the “anchor” C-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And remember, there is NO Wolf Time today. Again, this is an “anchor” C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, or ANYTHING else — please submit the online “Student Tech. Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Solomon’s got the solution to get you back online!
. - In this country, the 1st Amendment GUARANTEES your FREEDOM OF SPEECH — which also includes your Freedom to READ! This is Banned Books Week — a celebration of diverse voices in literature that should never be silenced. So be sure to check out the Banned Books Week display in the WMS library, get a good book, and be PROUD of your Freedom to Read!!
. - WMS hosted the Activities Fair this week, and it was a HUGE success! Hundreds of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders attended the event, and got a sneak peak at the many after-school programs available to students.
. - Thanks to all the teachers, sponsors, and student leaders who made the Activities Fair possible — and for delivering all of these amazing opportunities to our school. And remember — it’s not too late to sign up for activities! Just go to the Activities section of the WMS website for more information, or see the Activities Coordinator — Ms. Hogwood — with any questions.
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The Boys Ultimate team opened its season with a double-header against Kenmore yesterday. Our 7th and 6th graders won their match handily — showing great patience and smart passing during some very long points.
. - Our 8th grade team also played a great game, but came up just short — when Kenmore scored on an unbelievable, highlight-reel catch. If WMS loses another game this year, it certainly won’t be from a lack of hustle or chances in the end zone. Congrats to BOTH teams for an excellent effort. Way to go, Ultimate wolves!! [clap]
