- Today, we will continue to follow a modified “C” Day schedule. TA is extended until 8:50am, and then you’ll proceed to all SEVEN of your assigned classes. And if you’re still learning your way around the school, don’t worry — staff will be posted throughout the halls to help you get where you’re going.
. - Attention all students! Please bring your iPad to PE today for a presentation on the APS Acceptable Use Policy. Once again, all students should bring their iPads to PE. See your PE teacher with any questions.
. - Calling all athletes!! The Fall sports season will be getting underway soon, with co-ed tennis, girls soccer, boys ultimate, and cheer. But to participate, you MUST submit your SPORTS PHYSICAL FORM — tennis, soccer and ultimate by September 3rd; and cheer by September 13th. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Contact our Activities Coordinator, Ms. Hogwood, at lunch for more information about getting a physical.
. - And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! Go to the main office with any questions.
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang! Your school-issued iPad will be a critical learning tool for you this year — so it needs to be working! If there’s anything wrong with your iPad — including password problems, cracked screen, broken apps, WiFi, or anything else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. We’ll get you back online in no time!
