  • SOL retakes continue today for the 6th grade Math Exam — beginning right after TA in the library.
    .
Test-takers are reminded that you may ONLY bring the following items: a pencil or pen, a book to read, and earbuds ONLY if you have an approved audio accommodation for the test.
    .
You may NOT bring: backpacks or cinch sacks; any electronic devices; nor any water or snacks. And of course, there is zero tolerance for CHEATING.
    .
The rest of the school will be on a NORMAL schedule today, but as always, you are reminded to be quiet and respectful in the halls — ESPECIALLY when passing the library between classes. Teachers will be monitoring to ensure that there are no disruptions. Good luck on the SOLs, wolves!
    .
  • In just ONE WEEK from today — we’ll be wrapping up the 2016-2017 school year. But it’s never too soon to reflect on all of our amazing accomplishments.
    .
The WMS Honors Assembly is TODAY during elective periods: 8th grade at 8:15, 7th grade at 10:45; and 6th grade at 1 p.m. Students are reminded to go to your elective period first, take attendance, and then proceed AS A CLASS to the auditorium.
    .
  • Special events continue TOMORROW during TA — with the 4th quarter WOLF PAW DRAWING.  The grade-level boxes have already been removed from the cafeteria, so if you still have any unsubmitted Wolf Paws — you MUST bring them to the Main Office by lunchtime TODAY to be eligible for a prize.  Sorry for the short notice, everybody.
    .
Be sure to stop by the display case outside of the library for a sneak peak at all the swag that’s up for grabs.  So turn-in you wolf paws, and good luck on the drawing, wolves!!
    .
  • Listen up 6th and 7th grade!  Your iPads are scheduled to be WIPED and reconfigured on MONDAY of next week — so it’s CRITICAL that all students upgrade their operating systems to iOS 10.3.2 — IMMEDIATELY. If you’re having trouble, just ask a “computer-savvy” classmate to help — or go to your TA teacher or Ms. Solomon.
    .
  • Check this out — in the past 3 days, more than 3-HUNDRED books have been returned to the WMS library.  That’s a great start, but there’s still a long way to go.  Nearly 600-books are still overdue — and the school librarians need your help.  As students begin their locker clean-outs this week, be sure to look for any long-lost books and bring them back to the return cart by the library.  If you think your book may be lost, please see a librarian to discuss your options.
    .
  • The WMS Track Team will be hosting its end-of-the-year party TODAY during ASP 1 on the athletic field.  Team members should check the Track Team Google Classroom page for more details, and to RSVP.  Be sure to bring 5-dollars for food and drinks, and don’t forget to pick-up a “County Champions” T-Shirt.  See you there, running wolves!
    .
  • The Model UN will also be throwing its year-end bash TODAY, right after school in room 202. Check out the Model UN Google Classroom for details. Or see Ms. Carlson with any questions.
    .
  • CANNON BALL!! It’s nearly time for the annual Knights of Columbus Pool Party!!  All 6th and 7th graders are invited to a day of fun in the sun next week —  6th graders on Monday, and 7th graders on Tuesday — to celebrate a successful year. The pool party runs from 10 to 1:30, will feature a DJ and dancing, pizza and shaved ice, swimming, human foosball, raffle prizes, and more!
    .
But a few things to remember before the big day:  all students must fill out and return a signed APS permission slip no later than this FRIDAY to attend.  Bring a towel, plenty of sun screen, and of course — a BATHING SUIT.  You may also want to bring a change of clothes for before and after the event.  See your TA teacher with any questions.
