It’s PROMOTION DAY here at WMS. After three years of hard work and sacrifice, our 8th graders are preparing to move-on to high school — and the next chapter in their lives. On behalf of the entire Williamsburg community, we’d just like to say — goodbye and good luck, class of 2025!! [clap]

And now for some important details about today’s event: Promoting 8th graders should report to the GYM following TA. Once you get there, please start lining-up in the hallway in preparation for the Promotion Ceremony — which is scheduled to begin at 8:30am.

Space in the gym is limited to families and invited guest. However, the ceremony will be live-streamed on MS Teams — and teachers are encouraged to tune-in and show their classes. Just follow the link on the WMS Homepage to see the ceremony.

Immediately following Promotion, there will be an informal reception for our graduates and their families in the cafeteria. Be sure to drop by — and say goodbye!

As for the rest of the school, we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6. Also, 6th graders will be swapping their Wolf Time and lunch with the 8th graders. See your TA teacher with any questions about the schedule.

And now for an important announcement from the PE department! All PE classes will be meeting in the AUDITORIUM this week. Once again, do NOT go to the gym for PE; instead, everyone should go to the auditorium. See your PE teacher with any questions.

And now for an important announcement from our school librarians. There are still DOZENS of overdue library books — and they MUST be returned before the end-of-the-year. So look in your bag, look at home, and BRING BACK YOUR BOOKS!!

And now for an important reminder from the School Clinic. All student medications MUST be picked-up by the end-of-the-year. Any unclaimed prescriptions or items will be discarded. Students need a note from home if they want to pick-up the medications themselves — otherwise, please ask your family to come get them. See the school nurse with any questions.
