- We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE! We’ve got an update for you about the WMS Track Team. At the County Track and Field Championship on Tuesday, they didn’t just compete — they absolutely DOMINATED. The results are in, and your Williamsburg Wolves are the County CHAMPIONS!!
. - That’s right — they won the whole thing! It was a total team effort, highlighted by some outstanding individual and group performances. The following WMS athletes come in FIRST PLACE in their respective events:
- Kira D. in the 50 meter Dash;
- Anna M.C. in the 50 meter Dash;
- Mackenzie K., Shataja H., Kira D., and Anna M.C. in the 280 meter Relay;
- Celeste G. in the Long Jump;
- Ritsu K., Mikhail B., Bennett S.B., and Diego T. in the 280 meter Relay;
- Max P. in the High Jump;
- and Chris R. in the Long Jump.
- Congratulations to ALL of our athletes — you worked hard all season and earned this win. Way to go, running wolves!! [clap]
. - The Teen Trendsetters Club will be having an important meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room WW 18. There are only TWO sessions left — and your mentees are looking forward to seeing you!
. - The WMS Leo Club is going on a field trip TODAY to the Powhatan Nursing Home. Participants will be helping to decorate the facility for Mother’s Day. Students are reminded to turn-in your permissions slips to the Main Office before lunch, and to meet outside by the front entrance ASAP after school for the drive over. You should be back by 4 p.m. Go Leo!!
. - Who wants pizza?! The WMS Future Business Leaders of America Club will be holding a pizza fundraiser on FRIDAY after school by the Library and the Cafeteria. It’s just 2-dollars a slice. And in honor of mental health month — all proceeds will go to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. So buy a slice and save a life!
. - Listen up, 8th graders! Our time at Williamsburg is coming to an end — so let’s come together for one last party. The annual 8th grade CASINO NIGHT is scheduled for June 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. There will be table games, prizes, dancing, selfies, delicious food, and of course hanging out with your best friends. Feel free to dress up — or dress down — but either way: follow the dress code. Casino Night at WMS — don’t miss out on the fun!!
