• Today we will be following the B-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is a B-Day.  See your TA teacher with any questions.

• First up, we’d like to welcome a special guest to the WOLF-TV studio — who’s going to tell us about a special program that’s coming to WMS next year.

• KENNEY: Good morning, Williamsburg! I’m Ms. Kenney, and today I’d like to tell you about an exciting opportunity for our 6th and 7th graders!  WMS is now recruiting students for its first-ever class of STUDENT AMBASSADORS.  Ambassadors will represent our school at special events and help to build a positive community within our shared environment.
  .
  For example, Student Ambassadors will have important roles at PALS Day, Back to School Night, school-wide assemblies, and so much more! Williamsburg is a great place to learn and grow — and our Student Ambassadors should embody the very best we have to offer.
  .
  Interested students are encouraged to get an application from the main office or in your grade-level school counseling Canvas course.  The application deadline is next Friday, May 26th.   Feel free to ask me — or your class counselor — any other questions you may have about the Student Ambassadors program.  And thanks for being a part of the WOLF PACK PRIDE!!!

• We’ve got spirit, yes we do, we’ve got spirit, how about you??? The 2023 WMS Pep Rally is scheduled for Friday, May 26th — but TODAY is your LAST CHANCE to sign-up as a participant!  Ms. Hogwood has emailed everyone the link in Canvas. And remember that you can only sign-up for ONE game — so choose wisely!  Once again, Pep Rally sign-ups end TODAY.

• Since the beginning of time, mankind has grappled with several existential questions: what is the meaning of life?  Are we alone in the universe?  And most importantly — what is best flavor of Gatorade???  Well, we’re going see if we can at least answer that last one!

• And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! 6th grade teachers Ms. Flynn and Ms. Tousley were both nominated for the 2023 SEPTA Outstanding Educator Award.  The SEPTA award recognizes excellence in supporting special education, and those who go “above and beyond to champion students of all abilities.” It’s an amazing honor just to be nominated.

  But this week, we just leaned that Ms. Flynn was named the WINNER!!  Way to go, Ms. Flynn!! And congratulations, Ms. Tousley!  [clap]

• Wolf Pack Pride wraps up with a special CONGRATULATIONS to all of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students for completing the Reading SOL yesterday.  Those tests can be stressful — but you all did GREAT!

  And a special shout-out to Ms. Wielechowski for helping to make everything run so smoothly, and to all of our faculty for your support.  Way to go, test-taking wolves!! [clap]
