  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Attention Anime Club!  There will be a meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 109. Participants will be working on their art submissions for the upcoming Anime Spring Showcase! And remember:  all submissions are due at the next club meeting on May 8th. Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions.

  • Give a Helping Hand to a four-legged friend!  The WMS Helping Hands Club is wrapping-up the school year with its favorite project:  a supply drive for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington! From now through next Wednesday, students and staff are encouraged to donate dog toys, pet food, leashes, or anything else on the “wishlist” posted around school.  The collection bin will be located in the main lobby.  Thanks for supporting the Animal Welfare League, and for helping their pets in need!!

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  Yesterday was the 12th annual Arlington Student Film Fest, hosted by Kenmore Middle School, and our WMS filmmakers did an AMAZING job!  TWENTY films from WMS were nominated; SEVEN films were finalists, THREE films took home the top prize in their categories!

    Congratulations to our first place winners:  8th graders Henry P., Kai C., Simon W., Mason M., and Luke R. And thanks to ALL of our contestants for making such great movies all year long.  Way to go, filmmaker wolves!! [clap]

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Track and Field team.  We are the CHAMPIONS!!  After 2-days of fierce competition, WMS has won the Arlington County Track and Field Championship for the first time since 2019!
    .
    Big props to our individual winners: 6th grader Casey W.; 7th graders Hugo B., Emmett W., and Emmy D.; and 8th graders Jacorey F., Inaci A., and Tia A!  And a special congratulations to 7th grader Emmett W. — who set a new school record in the long jump of 18-feet and 4-inches.

    It was an amazing season, and a well-deserved title.  Way to go, track and field wolves!! [clap]
