- There are going to be a few new faces in school this morning! HUNDREDS of rising 6th graders will be visiting Williamsburg from surrounding elementary schools today. They’ll be receiving an orientation about WMS, guided tours of the building and classrooms, performances from our musical groups and cheer squad, and of course — LUNCH in the cafeteria. If you see these kids in the hall, let’s be sure to give them a smile, make them feel welcome, and BE A PART OF THE PRIDE!!
. - And in preparation for today’s orientation, 7th grade Tour Guides from the Mystics and Wizards teams are reminded to meet at 9:45 this morning — so you’re in position and ready for the rising 6th graders’ arrival. Again, tour guides should report at 9:45. See Mr. Tuttle with any questions.
. - Calling all native-Spanish speakers! If you speak Spanish at home, then you could EASILY earn a special “Seal of Bi-literacy” on your high school diploma. Just sign-up for next year’s “Spanish for Fluent Speakers” class — and you’ll be on your way! But TODAY is your last chance to submit an application — so don’t wait. Just scan the QR code with your TA teacher, or see your grade-level counselor for more information.
. - Who wants pizza? The WMS Model UN Club will hosting a pizza fundraiser this FRIDAY after school in the Main Lobby and by the Cafeteria. You can get a slice of pizza AND a cookie for just 2-dollars — and all money raised will go to support the Model UN and its future conferences. Come hungry!
. - Here’s an important announcement for the cast and crew of the Spring Play — the rescheduled rehearsal for Friday has been RESCHEDULED — AGAIN! The new rehearsal time will be TOMORROW — THURSDAY — after school in the auditorium. Again, there will be a play rehearsal on THURSDAY.
. - The WMS School Store is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!! Pre-orders are now being accepted for the new grade-level “School Spirit” t-shirts. They’re 18 or 20 dollars to buy. Just fill out the form and return it to your TA teacher by this FRIDAY — or bring it to the school store on Friday during Wolf Time. So get your School Spirit ‘T’ — and Be a Part of the Pride!!
. - Are you ready to SCARE away heart disease?? Hoops for Heart kicks-off TODAY — the annual fundraiser from the American Heart Association and its fight against heart disease and stroke. The program encourages EVERYONE to live a heart-healthy lifestyle, and contribute to SAVING LIVES in our community! This year’s theme is the “Scare Squad” — featuring “friendly” monsters with a heart-healthy message. Students are encouraged to register at www.heart.org/JUMP. So do your part to SAVE A HEART!!
. - “Every HERO needs a squad!!” The WMS Pennies for Patients fundraiser is going strong — raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and its fight against cancer. Keep the donations coming — because whichever TA collects the most money will get a free pizza and ice cream party!!

Plus: be sure to buy a ticket for the Gift Basket Raffle — on sale this week during all grade-level lunches! These amazing baskets are filled with goodies and gift cards — just for YOU! Winners will be announced next TUESDAY, and all money raised from the raffle will be added to our Pennies for Patients total. See Ms. Kia at the Check-In Program with any questions — and support the Pennies for Patients fundraiser!
