- “Every HERO needs a squad!!” Just ONE WEEK remains for the Pennies for Patients fundraiser — sponsored by the WMS Check-In Program — with a goal of raising 5-THOUSAND dollars. This national campaign benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is working to find a cure for blood cancer. And here’s a little extra motivation for you: whichever TA collects the most money will get a free pizza and ice cream party!! Plus, Check-In will be selling CANDY and CHIPS after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
. - But that’s not all — RAFFLE BASKETS are back!! From today until next Tuesday during all grade-level lunches, students and staff can enter to win an assortment of AMAZING raffle baskets. Tickets are just one dollar each — and if your ticket is pulled, you get the ENTIRE basket! Winners will be announced next Wednesday — May 1st — during the morning announcements. Good luck! And remember, all proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — and every penny counts!
. - The “Talk about Books” Club” — a.k.a. TAB — will be holding a MANDATORY meeting TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. Participants will be getting details and instructions about tomorrow’s FIELD TRIP — and you won’t want to miss it. So grab your grub and come take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!!
. - Attention all cast-members from the Spring musical, Alice in Wonderland! This is a reminder that you’ve got ONE MORE show — this WEDNESDAY you’ll be performing the opening number for the rising 6th graders who are touring our school. Please report to the BACKSTAGE area TOMORROW at 11:45 to get ready. See Mr. Brown with any questions. And break a leg!!
. - Calling all officers and reps in the WMS SCA! There will be an important meeting this THURSDAY after school during ASP1 in room 215. Please see Mr. Tagert or Mr. Peacock with any questions.
