  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Attention MUNNERS!  The WMS Model UN Club will NOT be meeting today, but WILL meet this THURSDAY during ASP 1.  Please plan accordingly, and see Mr. McDermott with any questions. Once again, the Model UN meeting has been rescheduled for this THURSDAY.
    .
  • Calling all Anime-niacs!! The next Anime Club meeting is scheduled for this WEDNESDAY from 2:45 to 4pm in room 109.  And this week’s meeting is going to be SPECIAL.  You will be joined by visiting artists from the New York School of Arts!! So be sure to bring your sketch pads and drawing supplies.  It’s going to be anime-zing!! Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions.
    .
  • And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic!  It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE!  First — WASH YOUR HANDS!!  Second — Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.  And third — if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME.  Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread.  See our school nurse with any questions.
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang!  Your school-issued iPad is critical to your instruction here at WMS. Please remember that you are expected to bring it to school EVERY DAY and FULLY CHARGED.  And if there’s anything wrong with it, please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!
    .
  • March Madness - Final 4, 2025Ready, set, READ!! The 9th annual March Madness Tournament of Books has reached the Final-4!   This year’s contenders are a mix of the most checked-out books from the library AND recommendations from the TAB Club.
    .
Here’s how to participate:  Just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote.  We’ll announce the results next week.  And remember:  the TA in each grade with the best bracket will win a prize — so make your vote count!  The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The WMS Dive Team took on Jefferson Middle School last week and absolutely DOMINATED — winning the match by a score of 31 to 6!
    .
Big props to the girls who SWEPT the podium — in 1st place, Alex K.; in 2nd place, Harper R.; in 3rd place, Clare T.; and in 4th place, Addison C. And we won on the boys side, too — with 1st place going to Landon P.
    .
Congratulations to the entire team! Now let’s keep this winning streak going.  Way to go, water wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Track and Field team. They started their season strong with a convincing win over Swanson Middle School last week — 130 to 51.  And EVERYONE pitched-in — with the girls earning 64 points, and the boys earning 66 points.
    .
Big props to 6th grader Wade W., who broke the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 62-point-82 seconds! The record had belonged to 8th grader Whitaker C. — who now had something to prove.  So Whitaker went out and broke the school record in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1-minute-and-36-point-07 seconds. It was AMAZING!!
    .
Great job to the entire team, and we can’t wait to see what you do next.  Way to go, running and jumping wolves!!! [clap]
