• Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

• What’s that buzz? It’s the annual “WMS Geo Bee!”  This FRIDAY — 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will put their knowledge to the test at this highly competitive trivia competition. There can only be one champion, but who will it “BEE??”  Tune-in to WOLF-TV tomorrow at 1pm to see the live broadcast — or come to the auditorium and watch the show in-person!  It’ll be an event to remember.

• Attention all Theater Tech students! This is the LAST WEEK to join the canvas course. Just scan the QR code located on the call board outside of room 228. But be warned — if you don’t join the class by Friday, then you are NO LONGER a part of the theatre tech team. Again, Tech students must join the canvas course by the end-of-the-week.  See Ms. Rosenthal with any questions.

• Attention all students!  If you ever have to leave school early, please be sure to bring a note from your parents to the Main Office.  They’ll give you an Early Dismissal Pass — which you can show your teacher to get out of class.  However, you may NOT leave the school until your parents arrive to pick you up.  Just wait in the Main Office until they get here.

• All the BEST BOOKS are on sale NOW! The WMS-PTA Scholastic Book Fair is open for business — all this week in the Library.  6th, 7th, and 8th graders will all have a chance to visit with their English classes — but everyone is welcome to stop by before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. Look for the signs around the school and on the school website for exact hours. Don’t forget to bring your money — and go get yourself a good book!

• Calling all film-makers, journalists, and video-jockeys! The 10th annual Arlington Student FilmFest is now accepting entries for its 2022 competition. Just follow the link in today’s Morning Announcements Blog to submit your video and application by the deadline on April 3rd. The Festival itself will take place on May 14th at Washington-and-Liberty High School — where all of the finalists and award-winners will be screened.  See Mr. Schonfeld for more information.  Now go make some movie magic!

• The March Madness Tournament of Books — Graphic Novel Edition — has reached the Championship Round — with “The Crossover” vs. “I Survived the Nazi Invasion, 1944.”  Just 2-days remain to vote for your favorite.  To participate, just go to the Library Canvas Course and cast your vote today.  The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!
