- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Get ready for a book bonanza!! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to WMS — all next week in the WMS Library. All English classes are signed up to visit, but students can also visit before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. Look for the signs around the school and on the school website for exact hours. Hooray for books!!
. - Calling all film-makers, journalists, and video-jockeys! The 10th annual Arlington Student FilmFest is now accepting entries for its 2022 competition. Just follow the link in today’s Morning Announcements Blog to submit your video and application by the deadline on April 3rd. The Festival itself will take place on May 14th at Washington-and-Liberty High School — where all of the finalists and award-winners will be screened. See Mr. Schonfeld for more information. Now go make some movie magic!

. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! Please make sure to upgrade your iPad to the latest operating system: iOs 15.4. This procedure must be completed by TOMORROW — so here’s what to do: Just go to Settings -> then select General -> and finally Software Updates. If you can’t update due to storage, please submit a Student Tech Help Request. Don’t delay, wolves — update your iPad TODAY!!
. - And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the LATE bus. If you’re ever planning to take the LATE BUS after school — you MUST have a signed bus pass for both ASP1 and 2. If you do not have a pass — you will NOT be allowed to ride the late bus. Again — the pass must be SIGNED for both ASP1 and 2 in order to ride the Late Bus. See your grade-level administrator with any questions.
. - And now for an update on the March Madness Tournament of Books — Graphic Novel Edition! We’ve made it to the Final Four!! It’s “The Crossover” vs “Mighty Jack” and “Claudia and the New Girl” vs “I Survived the Nazi Invasion, 1944.” Go to the WMS Library Canvas Course TODAY for more information about the remaining contestants — and to cast your vote for the best Graphic Novel of the year! The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!
