- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

The 6th annual WMS March Madness Tournament of Books — Graphic Novel Edition — is about to begin!! TA teachers will be sharing the Sweet-16 entries with you this week — and then all TAs are encouraged to complete their own class “bracket.” Voting will start next week on March 7th — and will continue each week until we have our winner. To see the detailed bracket for yourselves, just go to the WMS Library Canvas course. May the best book win!
.- Listen up, Williamsburgers!! Do you have blazing speed? Can you leap over buildings in a single bound? Then you’ve got to check out the 3-time Defending County Champion WMS Track-and-Field team! There will be an interest meeting for Track-and-Field next TUESDAY right after school in the gym. Attendees will get all the information they’ll need about the team and upcoming tryouts. See Mr. Treble with any questions. I’ll race you there!!
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! The 8th grade SOLs are just around the corner — and your iPad NEEDS to be working. If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, battery life, or ANYTHING else — please submit the online “Student Tech. Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Solomon’s got the solution! So submit today — and get yourself back online.
. - Calling all 8th grade student-athletes! WOLF-TV is doing a story about middle-schoolers who participate in Yorktown High School sports. So if you played anything at Yorktown this Fall, Winter, or Spring, we want to talk to you!

To cast your vote, just go to the WMS website, look under “Quick Links” and click on the Morning Announcements Blog, then select your grade-level superlatives quiz. The results will be published in the 2022 Yearbook. So log on NOW — and vote for your class superlatives TODAY!!
. - It’s nearly time for Parent-Teacher Conferences!! This THURSDAY from 4:30 to 7:30pm, and FRIDAY from 8 to 11:30am, parents and guardians are invited to meet VIRTUALLY with all of your teachers on MS Teams.
