  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • And speaking of the daily schedule, this is a reminder that with the day-off tomorrow, we will be SKIPPING the next B-Day — so when you return to school on Wednesday, we’ll also be following the A-DAY schedule.  Again, be prepared for an A-DAY when you come to school on Wednesday.

  • It’s nearly time once again for Parent-Teacher Conferences! Conferences will be held “Arena style” this THURSDAY afternoon from 4:30 – 7:30 PM, and on FRIDAY morning from 7:30 to 11:30 AM. Tell your parents that they can meet with ONE or ALL of your classroom teachers. No appointments are necessary, but meetings are limited to 5 minutes each. Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!

  • Calling all GAMERS!! Are you ready to take your gaming to the next level? Then come to the “Brains versus Games” club — meeting TODAY and every Monday during ASP 1 in room 106. Participants will use critical and analytical thinking skills to develop new gaming strategies — and make themselves UNBEATABLE! See Mr. Bell with any questions. Game on!!

  • This next announcement is for all of our students who were selected for the field trip to the National Museum of African American History and Culture tomorrow. The field trip has been CANCELLED. Once again, since there will not be school on Tuesday, the field trip to the African American Museum will need to be rescheduled. Ms. Mays or Dr. Ellis will be contacting you soon with more information.

  • Hey 6th graders — 7th grade is calling! Course Request Forms must be completed and SIGNED by this WEDNESDAY at the latest. Just turn them in to either Ms. Boyers or Ms. Pugliese. But don’t wait until the last minute — or your first choice classes may be filled to capacity! Again, 6th graders — your CRFs for the 8th grade are due on Wednesday.

  • And don’t forget that if you’re applying to be on the 2021 Yearbook staff — you also need to compete and return the application form.  Get one from your grade-level counselor or Mr. Schonfeld in the Library Classroom.  The WMS Yearbook — be a part of the PRIDE!!

  • It’s the cold and flu season — and you may have noticed that a number of your classmates have been falling ill lately. But there’s something super easy and super important that you can do to protect yourself from those nasty germs: WASH YOUR HANDS!! Challenge yourself to wash your hands throughout the day — especially before lunch and after using the restroom. Health officials say that lathering your hands with soap for 20 to 30 seconds can kill the majority of germs that make people sick. So let’s keep it clean, wolves, and wash your hands!!

  • 2020 Tourney of Books -- Sweet 16And finally today — The 4th annual WMS March Madness Tournament of Books is about to begin!!  The Sweet-16 has been posted on the display board outside of the main office.  All TAs are encouraged to complete a class “bracket” by March 11th — to see if you can pick the winning books each week.  And the best bracket in each grade will win an awesome prize!!

    To learn more about the contestants, just scan the QR codes on the display board.  And starting next week, you can vote online for your favorites books until we have our winner.  Good luck, wolves, and may the best book WIN!!
