  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Have you checked the lost and found lately? There’s a table outside of the cafeteria with DOZENS of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more. Be sure to take a look — you may just find some long lost treasures!
    .
  • This is a reminder for all students who were interviewed last week about your rescued pet — please send Mr. Schonfeld a picture of your “furry friend” before the end-of-the-week.  And when you do, you’ll get TWO Wolf Paws!  Once again, if you were interviewed about your rescued pet, send Mr. Schonfeld a picture ASAP.
    .
  • Up next, we need to talk about LOCKERS!  Before you leave for Spring Break, please make sure that there is NO FOOD left in your locker.  We don’t want to get BUGS!  And if you’ve decorated a friend’s locker, those decorations MUST be removed by Friday.  Thanks for your help, and for respecting our shared environment, Wolves!!

Joke of the Day Application Form, 2024

Calling all jokesters, wise-crackers, and class clowns!  Do you think you’re funny?  Then PROVE IT!! We need MORE STUDENT JOKES for the Morning Announcement’s Joke of the Day! .

  • And now for a technology tip from Ms. Hwang — and this is important, so everyone LISTEN UP!  It is CRITICAL that everyone update your iPad to iOS 17.3.1 BEFORE leaving for Spring Break.  Nearly 100 students have still not updated.
    .
So here’s what we’re going to do.  RIGHT NOW — everyone needs to open the “settings” on your iPad and go to “software update”.  Your TA teacher will come around and verify if you’re up to date.  And if you’re not, please start the update IMMEDIATELY.
    .
It may take a few minutes, but we just can’t put it off any longer.  Once again, please show your iPad to your TA teacher RIGHT NOW to confirm you’re using iOS 17.3.1.  Contact Ms. Hwang with any issues or questions.

  • March Madness Tournament of Books, 2024 -- Final RoundIt’s March Madness!  And we’ve got a pair of tournaments underway.  First up: Ready, set, READ!! We’ve made it to the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND of the March Madness Tournament of Books!  This year’s contenders are “Ground Zero” verses “Scythe.”  Both are AMAZING books — but which will be the champion???
    .
Here’s how to participate:  Just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote.  We’ll announce the results when you return from Spring Break.  And remember:  the TA in each grade with the best bracket will win a prize — so make your vote count!  The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!!
    .
  • Manie Musicale de Mars, 2024Up next, it’s the Manie Musicale de Mars — aka the March Madness of Music!  Nearly 6-million students from 34-countries are voting on the year’s best songs.  And YOU get a vote, too!  All students in FRENCH are reminded to cast your vote or the SIXTH matchup in the Sweet-16.
    .
And if any non-French students are interested in the tournament, too — just go to room 220 and scan the QR code, or ask Ms. McNeese for more information. Vive la Musique!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!  WMS hosted Parent-Teacher Conferences last week — and there were parents EVERYWHERE!! Hundreds of families stopped by to meet your teachers, and discuss the best way to support YOUR success in school.
    .
Thanks to all of our teachers and staff for staying late, coming in early, and representing our school with WOLF PACK PRIDE.  Way to go, grown up Wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • And finally, it’s National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week here at APS — which aims to inspire dialogue about drug use and addiction among youth.  Today, we need to talk about VAPING!
    .
Vaping is the most commonly used form of tobacco among youth in the United States. Over 3-THOUSAND  young people under the age of 18 start vaping EVERY DAY.  Studies show that young people who vape are more likely to start smoking cigarettes — which can lead to a lifetime of health problems.
    .
For more information about drug and alcohol abuse, or if YOU or SOMEONE YOU KNOW needs help, please contact Ms. Chisolm, the WMS Substance Abuse Counselor.
