Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

I hope you’ve been on your best behavior lately, because Parent-Teacher Conferences are THIS WEEK — TODAY from 4:30 to 7:30pm; and TOMORROW from 8 to 11:30am. Conferences will be conducted “Arena Style” — so tell your families that no appointment is necessary. Just come on in and have a chat! Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!

To accommodate the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences, our custodians will be setting up tables and chairs in the gym today. So all PE classes are being moved to the auditorium. Once again, all PE students should go directly to the auditorium for PE today. See your PE teacher with any questions.

And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic! It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! First — WASH YOUR HANDS!! Second — Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And third — if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME. Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread. See our school nurse with any questions.

And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang! If there’s anything wrong with your iPad — including password problems, keyboard issues, cracked screen, broken apps, WiFi, or anything else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!

Calling all film-makers, journalists, and video-jockeys! The 13th annual Arlington Student FilmFest is now accepting entries for its 2025 competition. The application deadline is March 29th, and the Film Festival is scheduled for April 30th at Wakefield High School. To participate, please contact Mr. Schonfeld and he’ll walk you through the application process. Now go make some movie magic!

Attention 6th graders! WMS is now recruiting 6th grade STUDENT AMBASSADORS for the remainder of the year! Student Ambassadors represent our school at special events, help to build a positive community, and give tours to new students! So we’re looking for outgoing, responsible, and friendly students who will make them feel welcome here in our shared community.

If you’d like to apply to be a 6th grade Student Ambassador, please pick up an application from the Main Office or the Counseling Suite. Applications must be completed and returned by Monday, March 17th. See Ms. Russo with any questions.

Ready, set, READ!! The 9th annual March Madness Tournament of Books is about to begin!! This year’s contenders are a mix of the most checked-out books from the library AND recommendations from the TAB Club.

Here’s what to do: work with your TA to create a Sweet-16 bracket — and have it completed by next WEDNESDAY at the latest. Students will then vote for their favorite books every week until we crown our champion. And the TA with the best bracket will win a prize!! The first round of voting will begin next Monday. For more information, just go your library Canvas course. And may the best book win!!

It’s Spirit Week here at WMS! Thanks to all the students and staff who dressed up for today’s theme: Green and Gold Day! You’ve got spirit, yes you do!!
