It’s Day number-2 of the 8th grade writing SOL. Test-takers should report to their testing locations when TA ends at 8:08. And if you’re not sure where to go, just ask your TA teacher.

And here are a few more things you should know: all you’ll need for testing is your school-issued iPad. Please do NOT bring any other electronic devices — including phones, smart watches, e-readers, or the like. But you may bring a water bottle and a book to read in case you finish early.

As for everyone else, today we will be following a “flipped” B-Day schedule. Last period first, first period last. Please check with your TA teachers to make sure you’ve got the corrects books and binders for class. Again, today we will be following a “flipped” B-Day schedule.

On your marks, get set, GO!! Tryouts for the WMS Track and Field team begin next Monday, March 13th on the turf fields during ASP 1 and 2. Our goal is to bring the County Championship back to Williamsburg. So if you like to run, jump, skip, or throw — be sure to sign-up using the QR code outside of the cafeteria. Hey, Wolf Pack! Do you have old sneakers at home that you’ve outgrown? Instead of throwing them away — you should DONATE THEM! As part of Williamsburg’s commitment to sustainability, we are now collecting athletic shoes in room 233. Shoes in decent condition will be donated to those in need, while everything else will be recycled. Once again, bring your old shoes to room 233. See Mr. Sundwick with any questions.

The WMS Best Buddies Club needs your help! For the past few weeks, they’ve been collecting “care items” for people in need. Due to popular demand, they are EXTENDING the collection until March 24th. Collection bins are located outside of the cafeteria, library, auditorium, and room 108. Check-out the posters hanging around the school for a complete list of items that you can donate. The 7th annual March Madness Tournament of Books has begun!! This year’s theme is books that were made into TV shows or movies! To participate, just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote for the Sweet-16. We’ll announce the results next week. The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!
