. - Attention VJAS!! There will be a MANDATORY meeting for all students participating in the Virginia Junior Academy of Science — this FRIDAY in room 115 during 8th grade Wolf Time and 7th grade lunch. See Mrs. Warden for more information — and to get a pass for the meeting.
. - Calling all students, teachers and staff!! This FRIDAY is National Heart Awareness Day — which advocates for research into heart disease and assistance for those affected. To show our support for this life-saving cause — everyone is encouraged to wear RED this FRIDAY. So show your Wolf Pack Pride and ROCK THE RED this FRIDAY to combat heart disease.
. - Earlier this week, every student at WMS was asked to complete the Your Voice Matters survey during PE. But if you were unable to do so for any reason — you are required to complete it this FRIDAY in the library during your Wolf Time period. Again, all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who did NOT take the survey yet must do so this FRIDAY during Wolf Time. And remember to bring you iPad!!
. - Hey, 7th graders! How would YOU like to be on the Yearbook Staff next year? The WMS Yearbook is now accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year. This select group of students uses photography and graphic design to make a keepsake for the ages. But space is limited! To apply, first select Yearbook on your CRF — and then pick up an application from Mr. Schonfeld in the Library Classroom. Applications must be completed and returned by February 21st to be considered. The WMS Yearbook — Be a Part of the Pride!!
. - Hey, 8th graders — are you ready to ROCK?! Yorktown High School offers some INCREDIBLE music classes for incoming 9th graders — like Piano, Guitar and Music Theory. You’ll get the opportunity to learn an instrument, use microphones, write songs, and even record your own music with programs like ProTools & GarageBand.
