Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

On your marks, get set, GO! Tryouts for the WMS Track & Field team are scheduled to begin on Monday, March 11th. But if you’d like to participate, you need to submit your physical by Friday, March 8th. See Ms. Hogwood or Coach Treble with any questions.

Have you checked the lost and found lately? There’s a table outside of the cafeteria with DOZENS of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more. Be sure to take a look — you may just find some long lost treasures!

And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Hwang! It’s time to upgrade your iPad! APS has just approved the newest iPad operating system — iOS 17.3.1. All students are asked to install the new version as soon as possible — but please be aware that it takes about 30-minutes to complete, so you should do this AT HOME.

Just follow these simple steps: First open “Settings” on your iPad. Next, select “Software Update”, tap “Download” and then “Install.” Then just wait for it to finish.

And if you’re having any trouble getting the new iOS to install, be sure to ask your TA teacher to submit a tech support ticket. Don’t forget! Install iOS 17.3.1 as soon as you get home.

Ready, set, READ!! The 8th annual March Madness Tournament of Books has officially begun!! This year’s contenders are a mix of old-time favorites and new titles that are burning up the book charts.

Here’s how to participate: Just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote for the Sweet-16. We’ll announce the results next week. And remember: the TA in each grade with the best bracket will win a prize — so make your vote count! The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!!

And finally, February is Black History Month — a time to celebrate the many contributions that African Americans have made to this country.

As part of our celebration, WMS is hosting a special Black History Month Tasting Event TODAY during all grade level-lunches. So make sure you go to the cafeteria for lunch today to get your special treats!

And one of the items you’ll be trying comes from an African American TEENAGE entrepreneur — whose creating quite a BUZZ with her culinary creation. Check it out!!
