  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Calling all athletes!! It may still feel like winter outside, but the Spring sports season already here! The Swim team and Dive team both begin this week, and the Track and Field team begins on March 10th.  But to participate, you MUST submit your sports physical form to the yellow mailbox outside of the Activities office.  See Ms. Hogwood with any other questions about Spring sports.

  • Something exciting is coming to WMS next month!  March is Women’s History Month, and our Student Services Department is organizing a series of events and activities to celebrate — but they need your help!  If YOU would like to be a part of the planning and development for Women’s History Month, please contact Ms. Wielechowski in room 124.  Thanks for supporting women and girls, Williamsburg!

  • 2025 Yearbook ad -- v1If a picture is worth a thousand words — then the WMS Yearbook is absolutely PRICELESS!  The 2025 Yearbook is on sale NOW!  It’s just 47-dollars to buy — and you can order online by scanning the QR code on your screen, or by going to the WMS website.  But only about 175 copies remain in stock — so make sure to get YOURS before they’re gone.  Contact Ms. McFerran with any questions.  Don’t miss out on the memories!

  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang!  Your school-issued iPad is critical to your instruction here at WMS. Please remember that you are expected to bring it to school EVERY DAY and FULLY CHARGED.  And if there’s anything wrong with it, please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!

  • Black History Month, 2/24/2025And now, it’s time for “Black History Month — That’s a FACT!!”
    .
Today’s fact is about Alice West Fleet — not the Elementary School up the road, but the real person that it’s named after!  In 1959, Fleet became the first Black reading teacher in Arlington to teach at previously “all white” schools following desegregation.  She taught for 31 year, and inspired a love of reading and learning in countless children.  After her retirement in 1971, Fleet continued to advocate for equal rights in education.  And That’s a Fact!!
