  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • It’s Kindness Week here at WMS.  And our theme is:  ‘Make Kindness the Norm’. It’s all about helping others today. Make an effort to hold the door, help someone with their books, or assist a classmate or teacher. Small acts, big impact!

  • Calling all MUNNERS! The WMS Model UN Club is meeting TODAY in room C105 during ASP I. Participants will be discussing their upcoming conferences, and have a special Winter Olympics Fun Mun exercise.  All are welcome! See Mr. McDermott with any questions.

  • Give a helping hand to those in need!  The WMS Helping Hands Club is hosting a Food Drive for the Arlington Food Assistance Center — from today to February 19th.  Students are encouraged to donate canned goods and pantry items to the collection bins located in each grade-level hallway.  But wait — there’s MORE!  Whichever grade donates the most food will get a POPSICLE PARTY!  So you can help people AND get a sweet treat.  Show your donation domination, Williamsburg!

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  The WMS girls’ basketball team is on FIRE!! They’ve won their first 3-games of the season: 37 to 15 over Swanson; 42 to 16 over Jefferson; and 25 to 20 over Dorothy Hamm.

    Up next, they’re taking their winning streak on the road today for a big rematch against Swanson.  Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]

  • 2nd Annual Spelling Bee, 2026 -- winnersWolf Pack Pride continues with the 2nd annual WMS Spelling Bee!  26 student-spellers competed in the event last week, and they all did an amazing job!
    .
    And here are our winners:  in third place — 6th grader Lola J!  In second place — 6th grader Irene A!  And in first place — the Grand Champion of Spelling was 7th grader Sam H!  Thanks to all of our participants, and congratulations to our winners!! [clap]

  • And now it’s time for Black History Month TRIVIA.  Listen closely, because we’ll be testing you on these at the end of the month.  And whichever grade gets the most correct answers will earn bonus points for the WMS Pep Rally this Spring.  Here we go!

    On June 30th, 2022, jurist Ketanji Brown Jackson became the first African American woman to be confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States. She was appointed by former President Joe Biden, and won bipartisan support in Congress.
