Hello, Wolf Pack!! This is Principal Boykin. We are all so excited to be here with you on the first day of school. I’ve got a few announcements to go over this morning, and then we’ll set you loose.

First off, we will be following a modified “C” Day schedule. TA is extended until 8:50am, and then you’ll proceed to all SEVEN of your assigned classes. And if you’re still learning your way around the school, don’t worry — staff will be posted throughout the halls to help you get where you’re going.
.
Students will also be receiving their locker assignments and combinations this morning. Be sure to let your teacher know if your locker is jammed, and PLEASE do NOT share your combination with other students.
.
At lunchtime today, ALL STUDENTS are asked to please report to the cafeteria. Do NOT go to a teacher classroom, the courtyard, or anywhere else. We’ve got some important procedures and policies to go over with you about school lunches.
.
Calling all athletes! Tryouts for Co-ed Tennis and Boys Soccer both begin next TUESDAY, September 2nd. Girls Ultimate is scheduled to begin on MONDAY, September 8th. But there are NO TRYOUTS! All girls are welcome to participate in Ultimate, whether it’s your first time or you’re an old pro. We’re also getting ready for Co-ed Cheerleading. There will be more information about Cheer tryouts soon — so stay tuned!!

To participate in any WMS sport, please sign up by scanning the TWO QR codes outside of the Activities Office, located across from the cafeteria.

Plus, you MUST have a current physical on file by to participate in after-school athletics. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Physicals for fall sports are DUE by September 2nd. Contact our Activities Coordinator, Ms. Hogwood, for more information about getting a physical, or with any other questions about school sports.

And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang! Your school-issued iPad will be a critical learning tool for you this year — so it needs to be working! If there’s anything wrong with your iPad — including password problems, cracked screen, broken apps, WiFi, or anything else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. We’ll get you back online in no time!
