- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Calling all MathCounts club members! The in-school MathCounts Competition is TODAY during ASP 1 in room 219. The competition will determine who represents our school in the Chapter competition next February. See Ms. Rixey with any questions, or if you’re unable to attend but still want to compete.
. - Takedown — reversal — PIN!! The WMS Co-ed Wrestling team is hosting an informational meeting on TUESDAY during ASP 1 in the cafeteria. Interested wrestlers are asked to bring an iPad to the meeting. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Show someone you care this holiday season and get them a Candy Gram! From now through Friday, you can get a peppermint candy cane for 1-dollar, or a special flavor 2-dollars. Just place an order through your TA teacher, and they’ll be delivered to the person of your choice before Winter Break. All proceeds will benefit the WMS Best Buddies Club. See Ms. Nance with any questions about Candy Grams. Happy Holidays!!
.
Calling all scientific students!! It’s time to take your Independent Science Project to the next level. If you would like to participate in the 2026 WMS Science Fair, please sign-up using the QR code on your screen — or follow the link in the Morning Announcements Blog on the WMS Website. The deadline to register is Wednesday, December 17th. And the Science Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13th. See Ms. Zarro, Mr. Thompson, or your science teacher with any questions. Good luck, scientists!!
.- Calling all athletes! The winter sports season is just around the corner, with co-ed wrestling and girls basketball scheduled to begin next month. But to participate, you MUST have a current physical on file — and sign-up using the QR code — by Friday, December 19th. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic! It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! First: WASH YOUR HANDS multiple time a day — especially before and after you eat. Second: Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And third: if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME. Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread. See our school nurse with any questions.
.
And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Continental Math League competition last month. Contestants had to complete a series of 5-tests — comprised of 6-questions — in just 30-minutes. And your fellow Williamsburghers did GREAT!!
.
All of our top performers are listed on your screen. As a group, both the 6th grade and the 7th grade came in FIRST PLACE in Virginia, while the 8th grade came in second. They demonstrated incredible analytical, reasoning, and critical thinking skills. Way to go, mathematical wolves!! [clap]
.- We all spend a LOT of time in school, but we also spend a lot of time OUTSIDE of school — and there are so many different things to do.
.
So we want to know — what do YOU like to do when the school day is done? Roll Tape!!
