  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!  The 2019 Winter Concert series is in full swing here at Williamsburg.  Last night, the WMS Band performed a showcase of holiday classics for a huge crowd of families, friends and community members.  It was an AMAZING show.  Way to go, musical wolves!! [clap]
    .
But that show was just the start of our Winter Concert series — the WMS Chorus will be performing next Tuesday, and then the Orchestra goes next Thursday — both at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. And then next FRIDAY the 13th — all three groups will be performing for the students during their grade-level elective periods.  Admission is absolutely FREE! So come support your friends and classmates as they celebrate the winter and holiday seasons with beautiful music.
    .Wolves with Character -- Citizenship
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with a special treat for some special students.  Teachers from every grade and every team have identified a distinguished group of students to receive this month’s Wolves With Character Award — for demonstrating outstanding “Citizenship” in their daily lives. Just take a look at the screen to see all the deserving honorees from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Congratulations, wolves with character!! [clap]. Be sure to stop by room 110 during your grade-level lunch today — you’ve earned yourself something sweet!
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride wraps-up with a pair of sport reports.  First, the WMS boys soccer team beat Jefferson yesterday at home 2 to 0. Big props to Jake O. for scoring BOTH goals — assisted each time by Beckett S.  And goalies Garret W. and Ian M. “saved” the day with their 3rd combined shutout this season.  Awesome game by the whole team.  Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • And the WMS girls Basketball team also faced-off against Jefferson in a battle that literally came down to the last shot — but came up just short — losing a heartbreaker 37 to 38.  Charlotte H. led all WMS scorers with 9 points, and everyone on the team can be proud of their play to the very end.  Way to go, baller wolves — you’ll get them next time!! [clap]
    .
  • All the BEST BOOKS are on sale NOW!  Be sure to check out the WMS-PTA Academic Book Fair in the school library — from NOW until next THURSDAY. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will all have a chance to visit with their English classes — but everyone is welcome to stop by any day of the week — either before school or during your lunch period.  Plus, the Book Fair will also be open late-night next TUESDAY and THURSDAY — to coincide with the Winter Concerts. So don’t forget to bring your money — and go get yourself a good book!

  • This is a reminder to all students and staff to order your 2020 WMS Yearbook! Just follow the link on the WMS website to order online — or send your parents a TEXT reminder by using your phone to scan the QR code on the flyers around school,  But please — only use your phone before or after school.
    .
And one more thing about the Yearbook — it needs YOUR pictures! The WMS Yearbook is now accepting pictures from Williamsburg students and families.  Just follow the link on the WMS website for instructions on how to upload your pictures — or see Mr. Schonfeld for more information.  Who knows?  Your picture may be featured in the 2020 Yearbook!  So submit your personal pictures today — and BE A PART of the PRIDE!!
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon — Practice makes perfect!  Students are reminded to MANUALLY enter your iPad password at least a couple of times each day.  This will help you remember it!  Don’t just rely on the Touch ID to unlock your device — because sometimes it doesn’t work, and you might get locked out of your iPad.  Also, it’s always a good idea to WRITE DOWN your password so you don’t forget it — and consider sharing it with your parents, too! Any other problems or concerns with your iPad? Just submit an online “Student Tech. Help Request” — and Ms. Solomon will have the solution!
