- Today we will be following the BLUE DAY schedule. That means TA is extended until 8:25, and then you’ll proceed to periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a BLUE day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Any student who was requested for the Blue Day should report to that teacher’s classroom IMMEDIATELY. Please do NOT wait until the end of the announcements. Go NOW! Teachers, please double-check your Blue Day list and make sure those students are on their way.
. - All the best books are on sale NOW!! The Annual WMS Book Fair is open for business in the WMS library. All students will get a chance to visit the Book Fair with their English and Reading classes, but you may also go before TA, during lunch, and after school. Plus, the Book Fair will stay open until 8pm on Thursday — so you can also come with your family that evening! Thanks for supporting the WMS Book Fair — and we hope you find the perfect book for YOU!!
. - Show someone you care this holiday season and get them a Candy Gram! From now through December 12th, you can get a peppermint candy cane for 1-dollar, or a special flavor 2-dollars. Just place an order through your TA teacher, and they’ll be delivered to the person of your choice before Winter Break. All proceeds will benefit the WMS Best Buddies Club. See Ms. Nance with any questions about Candy Grams. Happy Holidays!!
. - Cupcake Wars are back — and YOU get to be the judge! TODAY after school, bakers from the 8th grade Family and Consumer Science class will be selling their cupcakes outside of the cafeteria. Cupcakes are just 2-dollars each — cash only — and whichever baker sells the most cupcakes: WINS! See Ms. McFerran with any questions. And enjoy the cupcakes!
. - Calling all Anime-niacs! The Anime Club is meeting TODAY in room 109 during ASP 1. Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions. It’s going to be Anime-zing!!
. - Did you miss Picture Day last month, or did your picture not turn out so well? Then you’re in luck — because “Picture Make-Up Day” is scheduled this FRIDAY in the Auxiliary Gym. If you never got a picture this year, then you can just go on down. But if it’s a retake, you must bring your unwanted picture packet with you to exchange. And remember — if you don’t take a picture, then you WON’T be included in the WMS yearbook. See Dr. Koval with any questions. And say cheese!
. - ’Tis the season to be GIVING! The WMS Helping Hands Club is collecting toys for local families in need. Donation bins will be located in the main lobby and by the cafeteria from now through next Monday, December 8th. Just make sure your donated items are NEW and UNWRAPPED. You may also donate gift cards to online or retail stores. But please — no stuffed animals, nor toys resembling weapons. Thanks for helping the Helping Hands Club Toy Drive!!
.
