Attention all students! Next week is the LAST WEEK of school before Winter Break, and some of our after school procedures will be a little bit different. Starting Monday, there will be no more LATE BUSES and no more INTRAMURALS. And on Wednesday, there will be no after school CLUBS. But everything goes back to normal when we return in January. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

And speaking of the last week of school — next week is also SPIRIT WEEK here at WMS!! And here’s the breakdown of events: Monday is Pajama Day — so put on your comfy, cozy jammies; Tuesday is Candy Cane Day — so everything you wear should be red and white; and Wednesday is Holiday Gear Day — so wear something to honor whatever you’re celebrating this holiday season. Get into the school spirit for Spirit Week, and be a part of the Wolf Pack Pride!!

Show someone you care this holiday season and get them a Candy Gram! Candy Grams cost just 1-dollar each, but TODAY is the LAST DAY to order them in your TA. ’Tis the season to be LUCKY! The Anime Club is hosting a Holiday Raffle!! The grand prize is a professional 100-piece sketching kit donated by the New York School of Art. Tickets are just 1-dollar each, and may be purchased during ALL grade-level lunches OR with School Cash Online by scanning the QR code posted around school. But you must get your ticket by TODAY to be eligible for the drawing on December 19th. Happy raffle, and may the odds be ever in your favor!!

Calling all athletes!! If you’d like to participate in Girls’ Basketball or Co-Ed Wrestling this winter, you MUST have a physical on file by TUESDAY, December 19th. Wrestling practices and Girls Basketball tryouts both begin on January 2nd. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

There’s nothing worse than getting sick — ESPECIALLY right before Winter Break. So here are some super easy but super important things that you can do to protect yourself from falling ill: WASH YOUR HANDS!! Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And, if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME. It’s up to all of us to keep our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! See our school nurse with any questions.

WHAT ARE THOSE??? If you have any old shoes lying around, don’t throw them away — because Williamsburg is joining a Sneaker Recycling Program called “Got Sneakers!!” “Got Sneaker”s reflects our school’s commitment to sustainability. It helps reduce the amount of shoes that end up in landfills, reduces carbon dioxide emissions, AND provides shoes to people who need them.

Plus, “Got Sneakers” will make a monetary contribution to EcoAction Arlington for every pair of donated shoes. To participate, just bring your shoe donation to room 233. See Mr. Sundwick with any questions. And thanks for putting the W-in-Everything, Williamsburg!!
