  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Book Fair, 2023All the best books are on sale NOW!!  The Scholastic Book Fair is OPEN for business — from now through December 13th in the WMS library.  Students will be visiting the Fair with their English and Reading classes, but you may also go before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. The Book Fair will also be open in the evening before-and-after the Winter Concerts.  See our school librarians for more information. And thanks for supporting the Scholastic Book Fair!!
    .
  • Calling all students!!  Please bring your iPads to PE this week for a special Counseling Health lesson.  Once again, everyone should bring your iPad to PE.
    .
  • Show someone you care this holiday season and get them a Candy Gram! Candy Grams cost just 1-dollar each, and you can order them through your TA teacher from now through December 15th.   They’ll be delivered to the person of your choice before Winter Break.  And all proceeds will benefit the WMS Best Buddies Club.  See Ms. Taylor with any questions about Candy Grams. Happy Holidays!!
    .
  • Did you miss Picture Day last month, or did your picture not turn out so well? Then you’re in luck!  Because “Picture Make-Up Day” is this FRIDAY in the Auxiliary Gym.  But remember: if you’re getting a retake, you must bring your unwanted picture packet with you to exchange. And if you don’t get your picture taken at all, then please be aware that you WON’T be included in the WMS yearbook. See Ms. Johnson with any questions. And say cheese!
    .
  • Give a “helping hand” to those in need!  The WMS Helping Hands Club is hosting a holiday gift drive benefiting the young patients at Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics. They ESPECIALLY need presents for teenagers. For gift ideas, just go online to the VHC Amazon Wishlist.  Gifts should be UNWRAPPED and UNOPENED, and you can leave them in the collection bin — located in the main lobby — between now and December 13th.  THANK YOU for your support and generosity!
    .
  • And now for a technology tip from Ms. Hwang!  If your iPad is ever out of commission, WMS has a limited number of laptops that students may use instead.  However, several of these computers have gone missing lately, and we need them back! So when you go to your locker today, please look to see if there’s a WMS laptop in there. And if there is, TURN IT IN!!  Thanks for your help, wolves!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! And this is a BIG ONE!!  The WMS Girls Soccer team won the APS County Championship on Tuesday with their 6 to 0 win over Thomas Jefferson Middle School — and finishing the season at 7-wins and just 1-loss.
    .
The championship match started off tough — with the Wolves clinging to a 1 to 0 lead through halftime, thanks to 8th grader Matilda V’s goal.  But then, they ERUPTED in the second half — scoring FIVE unanswered goals from 8th graders Giliana R, Sophia G; 7th grader Leah R; and 6th graders Hannah R and Eden L!
    .
Our team played like champions all season long — and now they’ve got the trophy to prove it.  Congratulations!! And way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]
