  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Calling all students!!  Please bring your iPads to PE this week for a special Counseling Health lesson.  Once again, everyone should bring your iPad to PE.

  • Show someone you care this holiday season and get them a Candy Gram! Candy Grams cost just 1-dollar each, and you can order them through your TA teacher from December 5th through 15th.   They’ll be delivered to the person of your choice before Winter Break.  And all proceeds will benefit the WMS Best Buddies Club.  See Ms. Taylor with any questions about Candy Grams. Happy Holidays!!
    .
  • Give a “helping hand” to those in need!  The WMS Helping Hands Club is hosting a holiday gift drive benefiting the young patients at Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics. They ESPECIALLY need presents for teenagers. For gift ideas, just go online to the VHC Amazon Wishlist.  Gifts should be UNWRAPPED and UNOPENED, and you can leave them in the collection bin — located in the main lobby — between now and December 13th.  THANK YOU for your support and generosity!
    .
  • Book Fair, 2023Get ready for a book bonanza!! The PTA Scholastic Book Fair is coming to WMS — starting this WEDNESDAY in the WMS Library.  Students will be visiting the Fair with their English and Reading classes, but you may also go before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. The Book Fair will also be open in the evening before-and-after the Winter Concerts.  See our school librarians for more information. And thanks for supporting the Scholastic Book Fair!!

  • Did you miss Picture Day last month, or did your picture not turn out so well? Then you’re in luck!  Because “Picture Make-Up Day” is this FRIDAY in the Auxiliary Gym.  But remember: if you’re getting a retake, you must bring your unwanted picture packet with you to exchange. And if you don’t get your picture taken at all, then please be aware that you WON’T be included in the WMS yearbook. See Ms. Johnson with any questions. And say cheese!
    .
  • Calling all athletes!! If you’d like to participate in Girls’ Basketball or Co-Ed Wrestling this winter, you MUST have a physical on file by TUESDAY, December 19th.  Wrestling practices and Girls Basketball tryouts both begin on January 2nd.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Hwang!  If there’s anything wrong with your iPad — including password problems, cracked screen, broken apps, WiFi, or anything else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!

  • It’s cold and flu season again – and COVID has never left – so here are some super easy but super IMPORTANT things that you can do to protect yourself from getting sick: First and foremost — WASH YOUR HANDS!!  Remember to fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.  And, if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME until you’re better. It’s up to all of us to keep our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE!  See our school nurse with any questions.
