  •  Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Did you miss Picture Day last month, or did your picture not turn out so well? Then you’re in luck!  Because “Picture Make-Up Day” is coming next week — now scheduled for FRIDAY, December 8th in the Auxiliary Gym.  But remember: if you’re getting a retake, you must bring your unwanted picture packet with you to exchange. And if you don’t get your picture taken at all, then please be aware that you WON’T be included in the WMS yearbook. See Ms. Johnson with any questions. And say cheese!
    .
  • Calling all athletes!! If you’d like to participate in Girls’ Basketball or Co-Ed Wrestling this winter, you MUST have a physical on file by TUESDAY, December 19th.  Wrestling practices and Girls Basketball tryouts both begin on January 2nd.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Hwang!  If there’s anything wrong with your iPad — including password problems, cracked screen, broken apps, WiFi, or anything else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!
    .
  • It’s cold and flu season again – and COVID has never left – so here are some super easy but super IMPORTANT things that you can do to protect yourself from getting sick: First and foremost — WASH YOUR HANDS!!  Remember to fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.  And, if you’re feeling unwell, please STAY HOME until you’re better. It’s up to all of us to keep our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE!  See our school nurse with any questions.
    .
  • Book Fair, 2023Get ready for a book bonanza!! The PTA Scholastic Book Fair is coming to WMS — starting December 6th in the WMS Library.  Students will be visiting the Fair with their English and Reading classes, but you may also go before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. The Book Fair will also be open in the evening before-and-after the Winter Concerts.
    .
But the BEST part about the Book Fair is seeing your PARENTS working the cash register! Please tell your families that the PTA needs more volunteers.  Just go to WMSPTA.org to sign up.  And as an added bonus, every volunteer has a chance to win 100-dollars in Scholastic Book Bucks!  See our school librarians for more information. And thanks for supporting the Scholastic Book Fair!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The WMS Girls Soccer team defeated Gunston 3 to 1 yesterday to improve to 5-1 on the season.  It was a total team effort by all of the girls.
    .
The Wolves were led 8th graders Katie P. with a goal and Giliana R. with an assist, and 7th graders Maggie K. with a goal and an assist and Chole L. with a goal. Great job Wolves!!
    .
  • And finally, this Sunday, December 3rd, is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities — which promotes inclusion of the over 1.5-BILLION people in the world who are “differently abled.”
    .
But more than anything, it’s a reminder that you should NEVER underestimate someone just because they live with a disability. Check it out!!
