  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  The WMS Wolfbots Robotics team and their coach — Mr. Dude — were featured speakers at the APS School Board meeting last week, along with robotics students from Arlington Science Focus and Wakefield High School. Participants demonstrated their robots and spoke about the importance of STEM education. Way to go, WOLFBOTS!! [clap]

  • Brush your hair, wash your face, and say CHEESE, everybody — because TODAY is PICTURE DAY at WMS!! Student photographs will be taken during all PE classes, so be sure to bring your “picture order form” with you.  If you forgot your form — or if you just don’t like how the pic turned out — don’t worry, you’ll get a second chance on Makeup Day, on December 5th.  Smile for the camera!

  • The WMS Model UN Club is just weeks away from hosting the first ever WOLFMUN — a day of debate right here at Williamsburg. All MUNners who plan to staff the event are reminded to come to an important meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 202 — when you’ll be receiving your job assignments.   Also, be sure to see Ms. Carlson if you’d like to be a delegate at WOLFMUN — free of charge — or go to wolfmun.wordpress.com.

  • The Kindness Club will NOT be meeting this week due to the day off tomorrow, but will resume next TUESDAY as usual during ASP 1 in room 134.  See Ms. Schaefer with any questions.
    .
  • Rehearsal for the WMS Dance Team has been rescheduled for this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room _____.  So put on your dancing shoes and let’s boogie!  See Ms. Smalfelt with any questions.

  • Do you think you can cheer? Then let’s see what you’ve got!  The WMS Cheerleaders are gearing up for a new season.  Interested students are encouraged to come meet the coach — this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in the Auxiliary Gym.  Learn everything you need to know about the upcoming season — and tryouts for the team.  You must have a physical on file to participate.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • This is YOUR WORLD — and YOU can make a difference!  The APS Office of Minority Achievement is inviting all middle school girls to the “2017 Color of Leadership Girls’ Conference” on SATURDAY, November 18th.  This full-day event at Marymount University will teach valuable leadership skills — and empower you to promote change.  Transportation and lunch will be provided.  Interested girls must register by this WEDNESDAY to participate.  See Ms. Cameron for more information.
