  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!  There’s an “end-of-the-quarter” tradition to celebrate this week: the Wolf Pack Lunch! It’s a free pizza party to recognize those students who embody all the best that Williamsburg has to offer. It’s also a chance for students to talk one-on-one with our administrators, and to share their thoughts and concerns about the school.
    .
Your teachers have selected honorees from every grade and every team.  Those deserving students are all listed on the screen now — and should also have received an invitation from their school counselor. If you see your name, be sure to come to the WMS Library Conference room TODAY during your grade-level lunch — for all the pizza you can eat! Please DO NOT go to the cafeteria first; but come directly to the library. We can’t have the party without you! See Ms. Mays or your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS girls Soccer Team, who put on quite a show against Kenmore yesterday — winning 7 to nothing.  The offense really spread it around — 8th grader Ana G. led the way with two goals, and SIX other players also found the net, including:   7th grader Leah B., and 8th graders Alex W., Celeste G., Evelyn C., and Moira F. And let’s not forget the dynamic duo of 8th grader Sophie D. and 7th grader Julia L., who combined for another shutout in goal.  Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]. Soccer returns to action next TUESDAY against crosstown rival, Swanson.
    .
  • The Student Services Staff will be hosting a special ASSEMBLY next TUESDAY for all 3-grade levels.  8th grade at 8:45; 7th grade at 11; and 6th grade at 1.  The presentation will be conducted by “Hope and Love,” a suicide prevention and anti-bullying organization.  Students are asked to go to your elective classes first for attendance, and then your teacher will escort you to the auditorium.  See your grade-level counselor with any questions.
    .
  • And now for an important announcement from our school librarians! Do you have any OVERDUE LIBRARY BOOKS??? If you checked out a book from the school library in September or October — then it’s probably about time to turn it back in. Teachers passed out overdue notices in TA this week — and students are asked to PLEASE look in your lockers and at home for any long lost library books.
    .
  • Who’s hungry?! The WMS Symphony Club will be holding a bake sale TODAY after school — in the main lobby and by the cafeteria. Students can choose from an assortment of yummy snacks — all for just a buck or two. Profits will help the club pay for new sheet music. So get some goodies before they’re gone!
    .
  • Be kind to one another!  The WMS Kindness Club will be meeting next TUESDAY during ASP 1 in room 201.  All are welcome — new and old — as participants plan for several upcoming programs of kindness.  See Ms. Schaefer, Ms. Zeller, or Mr. Johnson with any questions.
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, or ANYTHING else — please submit the online “Student Tech. Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Solomon’s got the solution! So submit today — and get yourself back online.
    .
  • And finally today –here’s a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Argenal in the office with any questions.
