Attention Anime Club! Today, the Anime Club will be continuing “My Hero Academia” during ASP 1 in room 109. But if you’re under-13 and haven’t submitted a SIGNED permission slip yet, you NEED to see Ms. Armistead or Ms. Hogwood before you can participate.

This next announcement is for all WMS TEACHERS and STAFF!! Today, our 7th grade Family and Consumer Science students will be selling handmade ice skate ornaments in the Teacher’s Lounge. All money raised will go to support the charity “Skate to Eliminate Cancer.” See Ms. McFerran with any questions. And thanks for your support, teacher Wolves!!

Calling all athletes!! If you’d like to participate in Girls’ Basketball or Co-Ed Wrestling this winter, you MUST have a physical on file by TUESDAY, December 19th. Wrestling practices and Girls Basketball tryouts both begin on January 2nd. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

Did you miss Picture Day last month, or did your picture not turn out so well? Then you’re in luck because “Picture Make-Up Day” is coming next week — now scheduled for FRIDAY, December 8th in the Auxiliary Gym. But remember: if you’re getting a retake, you must bring your unwanted picture packet with you to exchange. And if you don’t get your picture taken at all, then please be aware that you WON’T be included in the WMS yearbook. See Ms. Johnson with any questions. And say cheese!

Get ready for a book bonanza!! The PTA Scholastic Book Fair is coming to WMS — starting December 6th in the WMS Library. Students will be visiting the Fair with their English and Reading classes, but you may also go on your own before TA, during lunch, and after school on most days. The Book Fair will also be open in the evening before-and-after the Winter Concerts.

But the BEST part about the Book Fair is seeing your PARENTS working the cash register! Please tell your families that the PTA needs more volunteers. Just go to WMSPTA.org to sign up. And as an added bonus, every volunteer has a chance to win 100-dollars in Scholastic Book Bucks! See our school librarians for more information. And thanks for supporting the Scholastic Book Fair!!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! There’s BIG NEWS from the WMS music department. We had an amazing turnout at the Honors Band and Junior Honors Band auditions last month.

THIRTY of your classmates made the cut — and will be representing our school in Arlington County’s Honors ensembles next year. A big congratulations to all of the students on the screen. Way to go, musical Wolves!! [clap]
