Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is still accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I Belong!” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. But the deadline to submit is just 1-week away — next Friday, November 21st — so you need to get started! Go to the WMS website for more information. And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic! It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! First: WASH YOUR HANDS multiple time a day — especially before and after you eat. Second: Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And third: if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME. Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread. See our school nurse with any questions.

You have the power to help those in need! The government shutdown may be over, but many people in our community are still experiencing food insecurity. So WMS is hosting a FOOD DRIVE to benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center from now through next Friday. Just drop-off your non-perishable food items — and/or toiletries — in the collection bins located in the main lobby and outside of the cafeteria. Every contribution counts!! Thanks for supporting the Arlington Food Assistance Center!!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to the WMS girls soccer team, who defeated Jefferson Middle School yesterday — 6 to 0. It was their first win of the season behind a great team effort.

Big props to the defense led by 8th graders Maddie S, Audrey P, Anna D, and Olivia S. And to the offense led by 8th grader Elizabeth S. with two goals; and 8th graders Hannah R, Eden L, Darby H, and 6th grader Ruby R with one goal each. Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]
