We’ve got some special activities today! In celebration of being selected a National Blue Ribbon School, there will be an assembly in the gym this morning from 9:30 to 11am. To accommodate the festivities, we will be following a modified A-Day schedule. So be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a modified A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

In preparation for the assembly, all students are reminded to please wear your Blue Ribbon T-shirts that were distributed last week — and teachers should wear their Blue Ribbon vests. Students will be escorted to the gym by their 3rd period teachers, and everyone is reminded to sit in the bleachers by grade-level. And be sure to show your WOLF PACK PRIDE when we take our commemorative picture!!

To accommodate today’s assembly, all 1st and 3rd period PE classes will meet in the auditorium this morning. Once again, 1st and 3rd period PE students should go to the auditorium for class.

Calling all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders!! Please bring your iPads to PE from now until November 21st. You’ll be recording fitness scores and setting goals for the new quarter. Once again, everyone should bring your iPad to PE.

Attention 8th graders! This week, the entire class will be taking a field trip to Arlington Tech. But you MUST turn-in your permission slip in order to attend. Once again, 8th graders need to turn-in your permission slips for the Arlington Tech field trip AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. See Mr. Gardner with any questions.

Attention students who participate in after-school intramurals! This is a friendly reminder that you MUST sign-in before going outside. The QR code is located outside of the gym by the girls’ locker-room entrance. See Mr. Eason, Ms. Kargbo, or Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

The WMS Best Buddies Club will be hosting a hot apple cider fundraiser — this FRIDAY from 7:30 to 8am outside of the cafeteria. Cider is just 1-dollar per cup, and all proceeds will support our incredible Best Buddies program. See Mr. Taylor with any questions.

Put your creative genius to the test! There’s still time to participate in the annual PTA Reflections Contest. This year’s theme is: “I am hopeful because…” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. But the deadline to submit is next Tuesday, November 21st — so don’t delay! Go to wmspta.org for more information about the PTA Reflections Contest today!

Just ONE WEEK remains to order your WMS Fall PE gear! From now through Sunday, November 19th, WMS families may purchase hoodies, long-sleeved T-shirts, joggers, or leggings through the online store.
