- Parent-Teacher Conferences are TONIGHT!! These conferences are STUDENT-led, which means that you kids will be doing most of the talking. So be sure to think about your goals, your challenges, and your strategies for success – and be ready to share. Check with your TA teacher for your exact meeting time – Thursday evening from 5 to 8 P.M., and Friday from 7:30 to noon.
- There are just TWO DAYS left for the WMS-PTA Book Fair — but there’s still PLENTY of good books to choose from! Fiction and non-fiction; sci-fi and fantasy; mystery and adventure — plus graphic novels, puzzles, knick-knacks and more! The Book Fair will remain open during Parent-Teacher Conferences TONIGHT — and then again TOMORROW until noon. Books are AWESOME!
- Attention Model UN Students! There is a meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 202. All “Conference Commitment Forms” MUST be signed and returned by that time. See Mrs. Carlson for a new form or with any questions.
- Need help with Spanish?The Yorktown tutors are back! Come to Room WW5 next TUESDAY during ASP II for the first session this fall. Get the extra practice you need to succeed — en Espanol!! Hasta pronto!
- Mark your calendars, because Discovery Elementary School will be hosting “PumpkinFest” on Sunday, October 30th from 12 to 4PM. There will be a parade, pumpkin carving contest, dunk tank, moon bounce, food trucks and a ton of games. But they need YOUR HELP! Discovery needs middle school VOLUNTEERS to help make PumpkinFest a success. Interested students are encouraged to sign-up in the main office.
- And speaking of pumpkins– the Leo Club is holding a pumpkin sale TODAY after school in the parking lot by the cafeteria. Pumpkins are just 5-dollars each, and all money raised will go to the American Red Cross to help Syrian and Ukrainian refugees. Come on out and get a pumpkin, you bumpkin!!
- The WMS Girls Ultimate Frisbee Team fought the good fight yesterday — but came up just short in a 5 to 7 loss to Kenmore. Claire H. led the way for the Wolves, with 3-goals and 7-blocks. They’ll be going for their first win next TUESDAY at H.B.
