  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences are THIS WEEK — TODAY from 4:30 to 7:30; and TOMORROW from 12:30 to 3:30.  Conferences will be conducted “Arena Style” — so tell your families that no appointment is necessary. Just come on in and have a chat!  Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!
    .
  • Turn off your screen, and pick up a BOOK, because it’s time for WMS READS!  Starting TODAY during Wolf Time — and continuing twice a month for the rest of the year — students will have the entire period to read a book of their choice.  And if you don’t have anything to read, just head over to the library.  Our librarians will help you find the best book for YOU.  Happy reading!!
    .
  • Are you interested in coding, circuit design, or robotics? Then we’ve got the club for you!  The WMS Robotics Club is gearing up for the new year.  To participate, just scan the QR code outside of the cafeteria and submit your availability form. It’s gonna be fun, low-pressure, and high-tech. Meetings begin next week. See Mr. Hunter with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all basket-ballers!! Tryouts for the WMS Boys Basketball team begin next TUESDAY.  Interested players should sign-up using the QR codes outside of the Activities Office. And don’t forget that you need a current physical on file in order to participate.  See Coach Clark for more information about boys basketball, or Ms. Hogwood with any questions about physicals.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  Congratulations to the WMS Boys Soccer team — who defeated Thomas Jefferson Middle School on Tuesday by a score of 3 to 1.  The Wolves jumped out to an early lead — scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes.  And they never looked back.
    .
Big props to 7th grader Dominic K., and 8th graders Landon B. and Yusuf N. — who each scored a goal. And to the entire defense for keeping TJ in check.  Way to go, soccer wolves!! [clap]

  • October is National Bullying Prevention Month. And today’s topic is: Kindness Wins. Sometimes, even the smallest act of kindness can have an ENORMOUS impact.  Giving someone a smile, saying hello, or just being a friend in a time of need.
    .
Every positive action adds up — and creates an environment where everyone feels safe and welcome.  Together, we can stand up to bullies!
    .
  • This past September was Suicide Prevention Month, and WMS hosted a number of activities and programs which raised awareness about this serious topic.
    .
But Suicide Prevention isn’t just important in September — it should be a priority ALL YEAR LONG. Stay tuned for this next video about what YOU can do to support Suicide Prevention.
