Conferences will be conducted “Arena Style” — so tell your families that no appointment is necessary. Just come on in and have a chat! Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to the WMS Tennis team, who kept their winning streak going strong with a big win over Jefferson yesterday — 4 matches to 1.
.
Way to go, tennis wolves!! [clap]
. - October is National Bullying Prevention and Awareness Month. And TODAY is National Stop Bullying Day. So today’s topic is extra important: Be an Upstander.
.
According to studies, more than half of bullying STOPS as soon as someone speaks up. Speaking up gives you the power make a difference, and to help someone in need. Even if it’s not safe to say something directly to the bully, you can still help by telling an adult. Being an Upstander means standing up for what’s right.
.
So if you, or someone you know, is struggling with bullying, please be an UPSTANDER — not a BYSTANDER. Together, we can stand up to bullies!
