  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Read any good books lately? The Talk about Books Club — a.k.a. TAB — is hosting it’s first meeting of the year TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. No need to sign-up in advance — just bring your lunch and come take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!! See Ms. Tan with any questions.
    .
  • Attention Boys Ultimate!  Please go to the Activities Office TODAY and pick up your Uniform Agreement. It MUST be signed and returned BEFORE you can get your Ultimate shirt for games. And your first game is this WEDNESDAY — so you’ve got to do it ASAP. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • Attention all students who auditioned for the WMS Fall play — The Snow Queen!  We’re ready for CALLBACKS.  Please check the Callback List posted outside of the cafeteria or by room 228.  If you see your name, callbacks are TODAY after school in the auditorium.  But please note:  even if you DON’T see your name on the callback list, you COULD still be in the show.  The final cast list will be announced later this week.  Break a leg!
    .
  • Attention Inked Club!  Today’s Inked Club meeting has been CANCELLED.  But meetings will resume next Tuesday during ASP 1.  But again, there is NO Inked Club today.  See Ms. Martin with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all Anime-niacs!!  The WMS Anime Club is back! The first meeting is this WEDNESDAY in room 109 during ASP 1.  And there will be a TON to do: designing t-shirts, planning fundraisers, and even choosing characters for a special workshop with the New York School of Arts!  All are welcome — both old members and new.  Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions. It’s going to be Anime-zing!
    .
  • Gotta catch em all!! The Williamsburg POKEMON CLUB is meeting this WEDNESDAY is room 105 during ASP 1.  Participants will be opening packs, trading cards, playing games, and more.  All are welcome!  See Ms. Purtell with any questions.

  • I hope you’ve been on your best behavior lately, because Parent-Teacher Conferences are THIS WEEK — THURSDAY from 4:30 to 7:30; and FRIDAY from 12:30 to 3:30.
    .
Conferences will be conducted “Arena Style” — so tell your families that no appointment is necessary. Just come on in and have a chat!  Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!
    .
  • October is National Bullying Prevention and Awareness Month. And today’s topic is: Put Yourself in Someone Else’s Shoes. Think about how it would feel if you were left out, called names, or had rumors spread about you. Now imagine how it would feel if someone stood up for you. Be that person for others!
    .
If you, or someone you know, is struggling with bullying, please be an UPSTANDER — not a BYSTANDER.  Tell your teacher, a counselor, an administrator, or another trusted adult.  Together, we can stand up to bullies!
    .
  • That’s all for now, but don’t go away — stay tuned for this next video about space… and the stars above.
